Under 8 Cats
Coach Mark Hennan
Manager Kerrin Paulger
I would like to thank all the parents for their support, patience and understanding in my first year as coach (also for the laughs we had over thee confusion we sometimes had during the breaks.) Thanks for bringing the boys to training each week, for taking turns washing the jerseys and bringing the oranges and apples, (some weeks we would end up with three lots of oranges and apples the boys thought it was great.)
BIG thanks to the boys for making my first year as coach an enjoyable one. We ended up being a great team that played as a team.
Players
Jerome Toomey
Was shy at the start of the season and afraid to mark the ball. As time went on he became more confident and with his height an asset, he was starting to become a great little marker. He is an excellent team player who always thought about other members of the team.
Elliott Weglowski
Only played one game and decided it was not for him. Maybe next year he will be ready.
Sinjin Paulger
Missed the last few games as he went on a travelling holiday. Sinjin was a keen and determined player who loved to kick the ball hard and straight. His head seemed to be a magnet to the ball as he often was hit in the head.
Caleb Bax
"Knows best" He was shy at the beginning of the season until the day he got his first goal since then you could see his confidence grow and he love kicking those goals. He had a solid understanding of the game near the end will get better as he grows.
Jett Barnes
Loves his apples. He is an excellent all round player, great marker, kicker, defender and a great team member and will be missed by all the team next year as he moves to under 9’s. Jett is an asset to the leopards.
Haidan Evans
Was starting to understand the game and always ran hard for the ball. Unfortunately, Haidan broke his leg near the end of the season. We hope to see him next year ready for a great season.
Lachlan Banham
Played like a pro for his first year. He would always try something new that he had seen the lions do eg: kicking the ball around the defender. When on the back line he always smothered the ball and stuck to his player.
Bayley Williams
Improved during the season and started to concentrate on kicking the ball. He loved to kick a goal and always thought about other team members eg: he would be in front of the goal and handball the ball to a member who had not kicked a goal yet.
Harrison Seydler
Fastest player on the team and loved a laugh. He was an all round good player who loved marking the ball and kicking goals. He would always pass to other team members so they did not miss out on a kick.
Travis Kernaghan
Started to have a better understanding of the game near the end of the season. He enjoyed playing as part of a team. He loved to kick goals and gave his best.
